The cheery interior is trendy and modern, but with a laid back vibe. Exposed brick and white walls are offset by accents of red, orange and gold.
La Feria is a wonderful spot to linger over a leisurely meal with friends or a romantic evening with your sweetie. The bill of fare offers hot and cold Spanish tapas, small plates of fish, meats, vegetables and prepared dishes that are made for sharing. The kitchen uses authentic recipes you’d find across southern Spain.
You really can’t go wrong with any of La Feria’s dishes, but the mussels stand out as one of the stars of the menu. Steamed in a garlic white wine sauce, they are tender and flavorful. Bacon-wrapped dates, stuffed with an almond, are a must-order. The interplay of savory, salty, sweet notes dance across your taste buds, and the almond adds a crunch to the texture and a subtle nutty flavor.
We also love the tortilla espanola, a Spanish omelet stuffed with fried potatoes and caramelized onions. Give the sardinas asadas a chance, even if you’re normally not a fan of sardines. These are nothing like the canned variety you’d see on grocery shelf. Bright and flaky, the grilled fresh sardines are served with grilled lemon and tarragon. Prices are reasonable, with most plates ranging $4-8.
You’ll need a libation or two to wash down all of those delicious snacks. The housemade sangria is particularly good. Or order up a porron for the table, a carafe of semi-sweet red wine. La Feria also stocks a selection of beer, specialty cocktails and coffees.
